Itinerary
- Day 1-Arrive in Panama City:
- Upon arrival at the airport in Panama City, you will be greeted by our local crew and escorted to your hotel in the city.
- Overnight at Tryp by Wyndham Panama Centro
- Day 2-Panama City History Tour: Colonial Quarter and the Panama Canal Locks
- At Miraflores Locks, massive vessels are lifted to make the transit between two great oceans in one of the world’s greatest engineering feats. Your will be there to watch it, from the vantage point at the first floor of the visitor´s area. Then, stroll around Casco Antiguo, the beautiful Old Quarter, traveling back in time as you admire the lovely, restored colonial mansions, French balconies, narrow alleys, and impressive churches. Listen to the city’s fascinating history during your visit to San Jose Church and its golden altar, French Plaza, the city walls, and the Central Plaza.

- Day 3-Embera Querá Indian Village
- A journey into the lives of the Embera Querá Tribe, which for its attachment to the ancestral culture, residents educated in tourism, located in the tropical forest, its hygienic facilities, artisan variety, good service and constant improvement, links with universities and research centers, indigenous culture and environmental conservation, this village was chosen by the experts of the Sustainable Tourism Master Plan of Panama, as the Model Village of Indigenous Tourism in the Republic of Panama.
- When you arrive at the Chagres National Park, you will leave the comfort of your vehicle to board the dugout canoes that will take you to the village. After motoring upriver, you will see the village emerge from the jungle as if by magic, in the Village, the Chief will welcome you with traditional Embera hospitality. A series of dances have been arranged to add to this cultural exchange.
- Fresh fruit and a snack of fried fish and plantain prepared by the Indians will be served during your visit.

- Upon returning to the hotel, your guide will spend time reviewing the itinerary that has been prepared for you to drive through Panama and will take care of receiving the vehicle with you. This afternoon a car rental representative will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the nearest office for the opening of the contract with mandatory insurance and unlimited mileage.
- Day 4- Portobelo and the new locks of the Panama Canal
- Discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1502, this afternoon we will call into the delightful town of Portobelo.
- Your tour will give you an insight into the rich history of the area once known as the Paradise for Pirates. Visit Fort San Geronimo, Fort San Felipe, Customs House, two story colonial structure built in 1630, it was the headquarters of the Spanish customs offices and the Black Christ Church (the patron Saint of Portobelo)
- The Congo House Gallery & Workshop: a venue for community artisans to produce and sell their work, featuring local painting, sculptures, furniture, photographs and other Portobello handicrafts crafts, all quality items nicely displayed

- Day 5 & 6 – Antón Valley
- The Anton Valley is one of the most picturesque areas of the central provinces of Panama. Located two hours away from Panama City in the Province of Coclé, lay this unique village, also known as the home of eternal spring. Anton is known for its fresh spring like climate all year. The village is located in a fertile valley of 18.3 km2 and rises to 600 m above sea level, with a climate of around 18 °C.

- Day 7- Road trip to the Azuero Península
- The Azuero Peninsula is a large peninsula in southern Panama, surrounded by the Ocean Pacific. This area is part of the so-called "Dry Arch" of Panama and offers the best climate in the entire country: dry and sunny with very little rain throughout the year.
- The colonial towns of Azuero are the cradle of the folk traditions of Panama beautiful traditional dresses such as the impressive Pollera, and handicrafts such as ceramics based on in pre-Columbian designs are originally from Azuero and to this day they are produced handcrafted here. The same also with various musical and literary traditions. Even the Panama's national drink, a cane liquor known as “Seco”, is produced in Azuero.

- Two optional tours are available at Azuero, not included in your package, pre-booking is necessary to guarantee space:
- 1. Isla Iguana Snorkel & Beach:
- Transfer to Playa El Arenal in Pedasí where the boat will take you to Isla Iguana a refuge of life wild 8 kilometers from the coast. The island is famous for its white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, extensive mangroves and coral reefs that include 12 different types of coral for more than 300 species of fish. It is very common to see dolphins, as well as small (harmless) sharks, turtles and – between June and October – humpback whales that migrate from the cold waters towards the coast of the Panamanian Pacific with hotter temperatures to give light. In Isla Iguana too Large colonies of sea birds’ nest and, as the name indicates, iguanas. On the island you will explore a trail that crosses the island from west to east to observe the iguanas and seabirds along with their guide. Then you go to the beach and you will get to know the underwater world and the coral reefs practicing snorkel. You will enjoy some relaxing time on the beach while your guide provides you with lunch picnic directly on the island.
- 2. Cultural Tour:
- Considered "the cultural heart of Panama", the inhabitants of the Azuero Peninsula. They live their traditions, their folklore with great pride and express it in their daily lives throughout the year.
- On this tour you will observe in detail the making of the pollera, one of the most beautiful typical costumes around the world, visiting artisans who have dedicated their entire lives to making dresses.
- You will also visit workshops of two local artisans dedicated to Panamanian folklore: One who makes the diablicos masks that are used for the dances of the Dirty Diablicos and the Great Devil; and another that makes the wooden drums that can not be missing in typical music Panamanian. Visit and learn why the town of La Arena is so famous for its pottery and try how difficult is the pottery, get to know the workshop where the typical Panamanian sandals are made, the famous "cutarras"
- Day 10- Return to Panama City- Free Day
- The return of your vehicle should be at 3:00pm at the same Rental car office that you picked it up.
- Return to your hotel on your own.
