Itinerary
- Day 1-Arrive in Panama City:
- Upon arrival at the airport in Panama City, you will be greeted by our local crew and escorted to your hotel in the city.
- Overnight at Tryp by Wyndham Panama Centro
- Day 2- Panama City History Tour: Colonial Quarter, Miraflores Locks and Biomuseo
- At Miraflores Locks, massive vessels are lifted to make the transit between two great oceans in one of the world’s greatest engineering feats. Your will be there to watch it, from the vantage point at the first floor of the visitor´s area.
- Then, stroll around Casco Antiguo, the beautiful Old Quarter, traveling back in time as you admire the lovely, restored colonial mansions, French balconies, narrow alleys, and impressive churches. Listen to the city’s fascinating history during your visit to San Jose Church and its golden altar, French Plaza, the city walls, and the Central Plaza.
- Time at leisure will be allowed to explore some more Casco Antiguo. Continuing this excursions, you will visit the Biomuseum: Designed by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry, the Biomuseo is his only work in Latin America and the tropics. Eight galleries tell us about the origin of the Panamanian isthmus and its gigantic impact on the planet’s biodiversity.

- Day 3- A Day with nature
- The Gamboa Rainforest Resort is located in the vicinity of the historic Chagres River, alongside the Panamá Canal, in the midst of the fifty-five thousand-acre Soberanía National Park. Enjoy a day with nature experiencing two of the most popular attractions in Panama: boat trip on Gatun Lake and The Aerial Tram and its exhibits.
- The Aerial Tram allows you to discover the secrets of the upper forest canopy. Each gondola takes you from the shadowy forest floor through the under story and into the sun-drenched canopy. The boat trip on Gatun Lake slowly cruises the back channels, island and bays that make up this unique ecosystem all the way to the Monkey Island, get your camera ready for a close up!
- To complete your day, at the Sloth rescue center, you can learn how these adorable creatures which are usually sick, injured or orphaned, are rehabilitated and prepared to get back to their natural habitat. This center is run by run by the Pan-American Conservation Association this is the first sloth sanctuary in Panama.
- You can enjoy your lunch in one of the restaurants of the Hotel Gamboa Resort.
- In the afternoon, we will take you back to your hotel in Panama City.

- Day 4- Adventure at Anton Valley
- This is a unique tour where you will discover a town that has developed inside the crater of a volcano. Ideal for hiking, bird watching, history and enjoying its delicious climate.
- The Anton Valley is one of the most picturesque areas of the central provinces of Panama. Located two hours away from Panama City in the Province of Coclé, lay this unique village, also known as the home of eternal spring. Anton is known for its fresh spring like climate all year. The village is located in a fertile valley of 18.3 km2 and rises to 600 m above sea level, with a climate of around 18 °C.
- The Canopy Adventure Zip-Line is a fun and exciting activity where you can enjoy the sense of adventure and spectacular nature around you. Four different style cables will fly you through the upper levels of the cloud forest covered hills of Valle de Antón. In addition to the thrill of being up in the trees, the zip-line will also take you over the site's largest waterfall, Chorro El Macho, not just once, but twice! You can even take a short break above the waterfall to see the water below your feet. It is an adventure not to be missed!
- The “Chorro Macho”, located on the road to the village La Mesa, is a private Ecological Refuge. The highest waterfall in the Valle with an approximate height of 35 meters coming from the Quebrada Amarilla; under the waterfall a natural pool which according to legend is delighted forms. Called Chorro Macho, because the foot of the Cascade Tapirs used to go in droves to drink water and the Tapir is commonly called “Macho de Monte”.
- The Butterfly House “Butterfly Haven”, created by American Owner Jon Owens. It consists of a House of Flying with a hundreds of beautiful tropical butterflies and an educational station. But Butterfly Haven goes a step further in that it has a mission to promote the conservation of butterflies and nature providing information on how to attract and protect these magnificent creatures. They also provide information on how to grow gardens without the use of toxic chemicals.
