Often referred to as the “Coconut Coast,” Punta Cana is located on the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic, where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Its name, “Punta Cana,” literally means “Cane Point,” referring to the abundance of cane palms in the area. What was once a collection of fishing villages and coconut plantations has transformed into a world-renowned tourist destination, famous for its stunning white-sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters.
